What is the purpose of the little black plastic piece that is inserted in the top of each Showcase?
We call this bar a "Connector" and it is designed to "connect" two or more Showcases that are set up side-by-side thus helping to stabilize your display.

What do you suggest is the best way to set-up the Showcases on a display table?
There are many ways to set-up the Showcases. Click on our Set-up Diagrams pages and you will see several suggested set-ups for two to six Showcases on various size tables. But be creative. Every situation is different, so don’t be afraid to experiment with new and different set-ups. A Connector Bar is supplied with each Showcase which is designed to be used to join Showcases together to help stabilize the entire display. In any display set-up, it is vitally important to have good lighting on your jewelry. You can’t always depend on every situation having adequate lighting, so it is a good idea to carry your own lights with you. Consider our mini clip-on Display Lights. They are low-profile and easily clip to the tops of your Showcases.

I have had my Showcases for awhile, and they are starting to get scratched and worn on the edges. What do you recommend?
We have found the best way to touch up minor scratches and wear on the cherry finish is with a black permanent magic marker. Use it sparingly and wipe off any excess immediately. Most damage to your Showcases will occur as the cases rub against each other while carrying them or when they possibly tip over on the way to or from a show or presentation. To help minimize wear and tear on your Showcases, we suggest transporting them in our Quick Cart which enables you to carry up to four Showcases on wheels without having to manage them individually.
